Jyl Clark learned to hook rugs when she was only 8 years old. Her mother, Joan Blauvelt, is a charter member of ATHA and a well known teacher, rug dealer and restoration expert in Falmouth, Maine. Jyl is a McGown accredited instructor and teaches beginners to advanced students. She is adept at all aspects of rug hooking from fine shading to primitives, and loves to "get into the dye pot!" Jyl is full of energy, and her enthusiasm for hooking is contagious in her classes. She is the owner of Cat House Rugs, a full service rug hooking studio in New Albany, Indiana.
