On Saturday, February 3 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM, the Carnegie Center for Art and History will host a unique Mix & Mingle, celebrating the last day that the Jamey Aebersold: An Improvised Life exhibition will be on display. The event will be both presentation and jam session.

Prefacing the jam session will be a presentation from 12:00 – 1:00 by two of Jamey’s former students, Jonathan Wolff and Pat Harbison. The musicians, who dubbed themselves, the “Lab Rats,” will share stories from their experiences with their respected teacher and mentor.

The exhibition will be fittingly bookended with a final jam session from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, where anyone is welcome to play alongside Jamey Aebersold. This program is open to all skill levels, and no registration or RSVP is required. Bring your instruments. For those just attending to watch and listen, refreshments will be served. Please email Delesha Thomas at dthomas@carnegiecenter.org or call the Carnegie Center at (812) 944-7336 if you have any questions.
