Ate x 10: A Group Exhibition About Food
August 4th – October 15th, 2022
The Carnegie Center for Art and History is pleased to present Ate x 10: A Group Exhibition About Food, featuring over ten regional artists whose work relates to issues about how we see and access food, as well as information about food insecurity in Floyd County. This exhibition coincides with the 1-year anniversary of the Floyd County Library’s Community Corner Food Pantry. The artists featured in this show (in alphabetical order) are:

- Opening Reception for Ate x 10, Thursday, August 4th from 6PM – 8PM; enjoy complimentary appetizers and live music from the Jamey Aebersold Jazz Quartet. This is a free, all ages event. Let us know you’re coming by registering here.
- Thursday Night Salon on Sept. 1st 6PM – 7:30PM will feature the launch of Floyd County Library’s community cookbook, Feasts in Floyd (currently accepting submissions!).
The Carnegie Center for Art & History seeks submissions of art by members of the community that addresses the question: What does “FOOD and ACCESS” mean to you?
Guidelines for Submission:
- Works must be handmade original art or handwritten poetry on flat 8″ x 10″ paper or canvas.
- Works that deviate from these size parameters will not be accepted.
- Free, blank 8″ x 10″ canvas and paper are available for pick up at CCAH during open hours; please call ahead to arrange this at 812-944-7336.
- Works must be delivered to the Carnegie Center by July 21, 2022 at 5pm to be considered for exhibition.
- Due to space limitations, submission does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibition. If a work received is not exhibited, the Carnegie will store the work until retrieved by the artist or until the end of the exhibition.
- All works must be picked up on Monday October 17th, 2022.
- All submissions must be accompanied by a completed and signed Carnegie Center for Art & History incoming loan agreement, to be filled out in advance or on site upon delivery.

- Works do not have to be for sale, but if a sale is made, Carnegie Center for Art & History, Inc. retains a 40% commission.
