MoodRing Zine Sneak Peek!

Carnegie Center for Art & History, a Branch of Floyd County Library, wants to present our first teen art & literature zine: MoodRing! Here’s a sneak special peek!

If you want your full copy of MoodRing, come to the MoodRing teen zine launch party on May 5th from 6-7:30 pm, featuring a live performance by a special guest, popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, drinks, activities, and a zine exchange!

The special guest is-Legendary spoken word artist Rheonna Thornton!! She will perform slam poetry reflecting multiple identities that show her most authentic self. Our first issue of MoodRing is all about the many facets of teens’ lives; we want to celebrate that through the night with an open mic portion! Anyone can sign up to read their short selections of 2-3 mins–this will be a judgment-free zone!

Thank you so much to all the teens who submitted work and the teachers and parents who helped!!
